Analytics & Usage Data

We use Plausible Analytics to collect aggregated, privacy-friendly statistics about how visitors use the site. This includes page views, referral sources, country-level location, browser/device type, and feature interactions (such as “Analyze” clicks).

We do not collect names, email addresses, or personally identifying information through analytics. Analytics data is used solely to understand usage patterns and improve the performance and functionality of the service.

Location searches

When you search for a location or drop a pin, the app uses that input to request forecast data and map overlays. Searches are not intended to identify you personally.

Saved Locations (local-only)

If you use “Saved Locations”, those are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). They are not uploaded to our servers unless we explicitly add an account feature in the future.

Third-party services

The app may use third-party services (for example: mapping providers and weather/aviation data sources) to display maps and forecasts. These services may process technical data required to serve requests (e.g., IP address, request headers).

Cookies

We do not intentionally use advertising cookies at this time. If analytics are enabled, they may set minimal cookies depending on provider.

Data retention

We retain only what’s necessary to operate and improve the service. Local saved locations remain on your device until you clear them.
